Softball Recap: Emmett Comes Up Short

Emmett was the 6-2 winner over Vallivue when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies lost 13-3 to the Falcons on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Huskies have suffered against the Falcons since May 10, 2022.

Avery Reynolds made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.

Emmett has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Vallivue, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Emmett will square off against rival Caldwell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Vallivue is set to take on their familiar foe Skyview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
