Recap: Hall Titans vs. East Hartford Hornets

The Hall Titans were the 34-6 winner over the East Hartford Hornets when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Hall took a hard 50-36 fall against East Hartford on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

When it comes to explaining why Hall lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bode Smith. Despite the final result, he rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt.

East Hartford was led to victory by Yaxier Rivera and Drayvn Roberts. Rivera rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns, while Roberts rushed for 170 yards and four touchdowns. Roberts is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Hall and nudges their season record down to 5-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Maloney (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71.5% over those games). As for East Hartford, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Hall will be playing at home against Simsbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Hartford, they will head out on the road to face off against New Britain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (New Britain is ranked 60th, while East Hartford is ranked 59th).
