Football Recap: Dequincy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

DeQuincy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Hamilton Christian Warriors on Thursday, falling 38-14. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DeQuincy is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Lake Arthur at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Hamilton Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Highland Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
