Basketball Recap: Garrett Takes a Loss

If Garrett was riding high fresh off their 44-22 takedown of West Noble last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Garrett Railroaders took a blow against the Fremont Eagles on Tuesday, falling 62-33. While losing is never fun, the Railroaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Eagles are ranked 120th).

Garrett's loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Fremont, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lakeland the next time they take the court. Fremont will head out to face Lakeland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Garrett will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
