Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers vs. Independence Bulldogs
St. Mary's-Colgan was the 2-0 winner over Independence when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Izzy Tierney and Raigen Crager certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Tierney had 17 assists, while Crager had ten digs. Tierney is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Leah Schibi also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
St. Mary's-Colgan now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Independence, they now have a winning record of 9-8-5.
Coincidentally, St. Mary's-Colgan and Independence will both be playing Neodesha the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Blue Streaks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
