While East English Village Prep put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Denby. East English Village Prep was the clear victor by an 18-0 margin over Denby. The result was nothing new for East English Village Prep, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

East English Village Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Denby, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-5-1 record.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. East English Village Prep will take on King at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something East English Village Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for Denby, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies at 12:30 p.m. on the 30th. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.29 runs per game on average), something the Tars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
