Baseball Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Takes a Loss

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 15-10 to the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers. Even if the Trojans couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Jakob Browning was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Grant Fricke was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5.

Coming up, Greenfield/Northwestern will face off against Beardstown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
