Baseball Recap: Mt. Markham Mustangs vs. Westmoreland Bulldogs

Mt. Markham won the last time they faced Westmoreland, and things went their way on Friday too. The Mt. Markham Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Westmoreland Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mt. Markham.

Wyatt Young made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Young has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Young was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
