Shepherd got themselves on the board against Wheatley on Saturday, but Wheatley never followed suit. They blew past the Wildcats 19-0. Considering the Pirates have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jayci Wilson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Rylei N was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Swayze Nelson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

Shepherd always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .840. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
