Baseball Recap: Holliday Comes Up Short

Holliday and Iowa Park squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Holliday had to settle for second. They fell 6-3 to the Hawks. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Holliday saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Jones, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Holliday's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11-2. As for Iowa Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

While Holliday had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
