Lena-Winslow had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Forreston Cardinals to the tune of 50-12. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-0.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Damian Rivera and Aiden Wild. Rivera rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries while Wild rushed for 157 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lena-Winslow is set to challenge their familiar foe Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Forreston will take on rival Dakota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
