Basketball Game Preview: Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones vs. MacArthur Generals

The Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones are taking a road trip to face off against the MacArthur Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart-Griffin will be strutting in after a win while MacArthur will be coming in after a loss.

Sacred Heart-Griffin is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Springfield Southeast 62-36 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cyclones have posted against the Spartans since March 9, 2021.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, MacArthur's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 71-54 to Taylorville.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Sacred Heart-Griffin skirted past MacArthur 50-47 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sacred Heart-Griffin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
