West Jefferson had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Aberdeen Tigers, sneaking past 2-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

West Jefferson was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 14-25, 15-4.

West Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against North Gem on the 26th. After both having extra time off, Aberdeen and Wendell will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on September 4. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
