While Pine Hill's victory against Zuni wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors skirted past the Thunderbirds 3-2. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Pine Hill took Zuni into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 15-8.

Kirra Smith paced Pine Hill's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Chenille Martinez and her 21 assists.

The victory got Pine Hill back to even at 3-3. As for Zuni, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, Pine Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Hozho Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Zuni, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Espanola Valley on the 13th.
