Basketball Recap: Lehi Pioneers vs. Westlake Thunder
Lehi won the last time they faced Westlake, and Mckenzie Jepson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lehi Pioneers managed a 48-43 victory over the Westlake Thunder on Tuesday thanks in part to Jepson, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Despite the defeat, Westlake saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Janiece Sikander went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Sikander has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Chaney, who posted seven points.
