Nowata proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 34) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Morrison Wildcats out 22-20. Winning may never get old, but the Ironmen sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Treaver Emberson was a one-man wrecking crew for Nowata as he threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 83 yards. The dominant performance gave Emberson a new career-high in rushing yards. Asiah Saxton was Emberson's top target, picking up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Nowata wouldn't let Morrison keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Nowata can thank Tyler Flower and Saxton for forcing both of them. Another thorn in Morrison's side was Jerome Jackson, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Nowata's record is now 3-4. As for Morrison, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nowata will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pawnee at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. As for Morrison, they will square off against Tonkawa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
