Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne South Side Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne South Side lost against Carroll back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Archers came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0.

While Fort Wayne South Side was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Carroll's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-18, 25-20.

Carroll was led to victory by James Hench and Declan McCumber. Hench had 12 digs, while McCumber had seven digs. That's the most digs Hench has posted over his last four games.

Fort Wayne South Side's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Carroll, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Fort Wayne South Side didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against DeKalb on the 10th. As for Carroll, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Homestead on the 9th.
