Baseball Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to the Bradford Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Jermaine Love was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. That hit marked the first that he got this season.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Bradford, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Augusta will face off against rival Brinkley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bradford is set to challenge their familiar foe Midland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
