Basketball Recap: Heritage Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Dy'nzah Alexander and Tailor Coles

Heritage was the 52-47 winner over George Washington when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Heritage Pioneers fell 41-28 to the George Washington Eagles on Monday. The match marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Heritage's loss came despite strong showings from Tailor Coles and Dy'Nzah Alexander. Coles dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards, while Alexander posted 11 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Alexander a new career-high.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for George Washington, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-45 loss against Liberty on the 13th. As for George Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-25 victory against Tunstall on the 14th.
