Preview: Lisbon Broncos vs. Enderlin Eagles
The Lisbon Broncos will head out on the road to face off against the Enderlin Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Lisbon beat Maple Valley by the very same score they won with last week: 56-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lisbon.
Meanwhile, Enderlin had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Strasburg/Zeeland with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 50-33.
Enderlin found their leader in underclassman Karson Gruba, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jake Cimbura, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Lisbon's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Enderlin, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
Lisbon was able to grind out a solid win over Enderlin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 52-42. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Enderlin's Carson Bartholomay, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Lisbon to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
