Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian Academy entered their contest against Varsity Opponent on the 18th without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell 50-40 to Varsity Opponent. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since December 4th, but that streak is no more.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-2.

Cornerstone Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverdale Academy on January 5, 2026. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be home for the holidays to greet Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th.
