Basketball Recap: Prairie Mustangs vs. Otis Bulldogs
With a playoff win on the line, Prairie rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on the Otis Bulldogs with a sharp 54-32 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Prairie found their leader in sophomore Hannah Kugler, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 17 boards. Kugler has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 25 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Molly Walker, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.
Prairie was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 10-3 when they've passed the ball that well.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madelyn Willeke, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aedyn Tribelhorn, who had 12 points and eight boards.

Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Otis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-23 loss against Idalia on the 8th. Otis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
