Volleyball Recap: Natalie Starkey Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Bonita + How To Watch

San Dimas won the last time they faced Bonita and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Saints blew past the Bearcats 3-0.

While San Dimas might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Bonita scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.

San Dimas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalie Starkey, who had 24 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Starkey has posted over her last four matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Janelle Marquez, who had 13 digs.

San Dimas was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Bonita had strong showings from Cassidy Howard, who had 12 digs and two aces, and Shyanne McCutcheon, who had 11 digs and two assists. Howard has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

San Dimas' record is now 8-4. As for Bonita, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3.

Looking ahead, San Dimas will square off against Monrovia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bonita, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Chino on the 27th.
