While Greenville put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Tri County Area. The Yellow Jackets blew past the Vikings 24-0. That's more bragging rights for the Yellow Jackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Emily Rice was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Rice was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Cam Klco was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Drew Galey was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4.
Greenville now has a winning record of 2-1.
