            Football Recap: Pigeon Forge Tigers vs. Johnson County Longhorns        
        
		
        
        
            After only 12  points in their last  matchup, Pigeon Forge made sure to put some  points up on the board against Johnson County  on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Longhorns 46-20. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.

 Ayden Hood produced another solid  effort rushing for 162 yards and three  TDs, while also catching one  score. Those  162  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pigeon Forge was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 230  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Johnson County lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Juan Mejia, who rushed for 90 yards and one  touchdown on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jonathan 'Jack' Csillag, who rushed for 59 yards and one  score.
Pigeon Forge's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Johnson County, their  defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5.
 Looking ahead, Pigeon Forge will challenge Cocke County at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Fighting Cocks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.86  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Johnson County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gatlinburg-Pittman at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th. The Highlanders' defense has only allowed 10.8  points per game  this season, so the Longhorns' offense will have their work cut out for them.
