Football Recap: Devin Bragg Leads Reeltown's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

Reeltown and Lanett squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Reeltown had to settle for second. They lost to the Panthers on the road by a 35-19 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-19 back in October.

When it comes to explaining why Reeltown lost, don't look at Alijah Woods. Despite the final result, he picked up 75 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one score on the ground. Woods also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making five total tackles (1.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.

Even if they lost, Reeltown's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Devin Bragg was especially locked on to Lanett's QB and sacked him twice. Reeltown received some extra help from Woods, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Reeltown's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Lanett, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Reeltown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lanett, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 29-22 defeat against Coosa Christian on the 5th.
