Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for University School

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only University School walked away with it. They came out on top against the Padua Franciscan Bruins by a score of 9-5 on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Preppers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Slater Schoaf looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tucker Greer was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Deacon Nelson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

University School lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

University School's victory bumped their record up to 27-6. As for Padua Franciscan, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-11.

As of now, neither University School nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
