The Cathedral Fighting Irish will challenge the Noblesville Millers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Cathedral sitting on four straight victories and Noblesville on eight.
Cathedral is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game last Saturday with ease, bagging a 65-34 win over Northeastern. The Fighting Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Cathedral found their leader in freshman Caroline Wiggins, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wiggins has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tianna Guy, who went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points.
Cathedral was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northeastern only racked up four assists.
Meanwhile, Noblesville strolled past Huntington North with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 58-42. Given the Millers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Vikings are ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cathedral better keep an eye on Meredith Tippner. She was instrumental in Noblesville's win, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Tippner has scored at least a third of Noblesville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Rollins, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 19 points and three steals.
Noblesville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Cathedral, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Cathedral has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Noblesville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Cathedral was dealt a bruising 62-35 defeat at the hands of Noblesville in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Cathedral avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
