Guilford and Jefferson are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. The Vikings will take on the J-Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Guilford will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Guilford beat Harlem 2-0.

The win didn't come easy: Harlem scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Jefferson had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Belvidere North by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Jefferson got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 30-28.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Guilford, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

Guilford was able to grind out a solid victory over Jefferson when the teams last played back in April, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
