Football Game Preview: Jay Bulldogs vs. Inola Longhorns + Official Tickets

The Jay Bulldogs will challenge the Inola Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jay has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Inola will come in with four straight wins.

On Thursday, Jay came up short against Cleveland and fell 32-19.

Despite their defeat, Jay saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Armando Newcomb, who rushed for 119 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries, was perhaps the best of all. Newcomb has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-5 otherwise. Michael Rogers was another key rusher, rushing for 86 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Inola). They claimed a resounding 54-14 victory over Vinita. Considering the Longhorns have won five matchups by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jay's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Inola, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Jay was able to grind out a solid victory over Inola when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 46-38. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Longhorns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
