Basketball Recap: First Baptist Academy Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

First Baptist Academy won the last time they faced Barron Collier and things went their way on Thursday too. The First Baptist Academy Lions came out on top against the Barron Collier Cougars by a score of 58-46. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Cougars are ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Barron Collier still got an impressive performance from Peyton Heffelfinger, who went 5 of 11 en route to 19 points. That's the most points Heffelfinger has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Viotto, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 12 points.
