Baseball Game Preview: South Vermillion Wildcats vs. Danville Warriors

For the second straight game, South Vermillion will face off against Danville. The Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

South Vermillion is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Danville on Saturday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Wildcats have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

For Danville's part, they saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Warner, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Warner is becoming a predictor of the Warriors' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-11 when he doesn't). Evan Dure was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI.

Danville's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for South Vermillion, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
