Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Stanislaus walked away with it. They never let the McLaurin Tigers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Thursday. The Rock-a-Chaws might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Jackson Orozco looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tate Murphy, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Stephen Hutchison, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

St. Stanislaus' victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for McLaurin, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. Stanislaus beat the Tigers by a score of 16-0 later that day.
