Softball Recap: Spanish Fork Dons vs. Granger Lancers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Spanish Fork walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Granger Lancers on Saturday as they made off with a 15-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2015.
Anaca Olsen looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jade Romero was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Lia Higginson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Spanish Fork always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
