Football Recap: Bozeman Starts off Right with Win over Holmes County + How To Watch

Bozeman had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past the Holmes County Blue Devils with a 12-8 victory. For the Bucks, this counts as revenge for the 40-23 win the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bozeman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Gay, who threw for 211 yards and one touchdown on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 32 yards. The Bucks' leading receiver Evan Clements was Gay's top target yet again, picking up 114 receiving yards and one score.

Bozeman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mac Monteiro and John Hanson.

Bozeman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-19 victory against Leon on the 29th. As for Holmes County, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-8 loss against Port St. Joe on the 29th.
