Softball Recap: Academy of the Holy Names Takes a Loss

Academy of the Holy Names was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Tampa Catholic Crusaders. The matchup marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Academy of the Holy Names saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava LaBarbera, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Academy of the Holy Names' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Tampa Catholic, they moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of the Holy Names will host Clearwater Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tampa Catholic, they will take on Academy of the Holy Names at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
