Soccer Recap: Rivendell Academy Comes Up Short

Rivendell Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Randolph Ghosts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Rivendell Academy of the 6-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Rivendell Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Randolph, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season.

Rivendell Academy and Randolph are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Rivendell Academy will challenge Grace Christian on Wednesday. As for Randolph, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Bellows Free Academy at 3:00 p.m. Randolph will be up against Bellows Free Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.31 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
