Mingus extends road winning streak to eight

The Mingus Marauders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 25 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Lee Williams with a sharp 58-33 win on Thursday. Mingus' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Leading Mingus to victory were Savannah Tobias and Alice Kinsey. Tobias dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Kinsey dropped a double-double on 23 points and 19 rebounds. Tobias is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makela Martinez, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Mingus' victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Lee Williams, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Mingus will be playing in front of their home fans against Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Flagstaff presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mingus in Arizona (Flagstaff is ranked 13th, while Mingus is ranked 71st). As for Lee Williams, they will head out on the road to face off against Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
