Baseball Recap: Hopkins Academy Starts Season with Win Against Palmer

Hopkins Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Palmer Panthers 11-1. The Golden Hawks have beaten the Panthers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hopkins Academy will venture away from home to face off against Pioneer Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Palmer, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Palmer Panthers challenge South Hadley Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
