Baseball Recap: Eastmont Wins Going Away Against Sunnyside

Eastmont owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. Everything went their way against the Sunnyside Grizzlies as they made off with a 9-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won nine in a row.

Bodie Yale made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Eastmont is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-7 otherwise. Yale was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

In other batting news, Max Aman was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Rylan Walt also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Eastmont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Eastmont's record now sits at 5-8. As for Sunnyside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
