Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Classical Christian Takes a Loss

Holy Trinity Classical Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes 51-18. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mighty Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-18 back in November.

Coastal HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but QZ Stephan led the charge by putting up 11 points. Stephan continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Leo Sturgess, who posted nine points.

Holy Trinity Classical Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Coastal HomeSchool, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-3.

Holy Trinity Classical Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cross at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they will take on Brunswick Christian Academy in a tournament on Friday. Coastal HomeSchool is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season.
