Soccer Game Preview: Olathe Northwest vs. Blue Valley

The Olathe Northwest Ravens will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Blue Valley Tigers on Saturday.

Olathe Northwest is headed into their contest with Blue Valley looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Lawrence Free State two weeks ago. The Ravens and the Firebirds finished up their match with a 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, Blue Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Shawnee Mission East on Thursday and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Blue Valley have lost by just one goal.

Olathe Northwest took their victory against Blue Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2016 by a conclusive 5-0 score. Do the Ravens have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
