Solon came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the South Tama County Trojans 13-1. That looming 13-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

Solon's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.
