The San Marino Titans will venture away from home to face off against the La Canada Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. San Marino is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
La Canada will be up against a hot San Marino team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. San Marino beat Monrovia on Monday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-1. Considering the Titans have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Tom?s Bilvado made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Mena, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Charlie Danenhauer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
San Marino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, La Canada was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of Montebello by a score of 3-2.
La Canada saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benji Geller, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
San Marino pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for La Canada, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
La Canada's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: San Marino hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. It's a different story for La Canada, though, as they've only averaged .255. Will they be able to contain San Marino's hitters?
San Marino came out on top in a nail-biter against La Canada in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Marino since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
