Volleyball Game Preview: Enfield Eagles vs. East Catholic Eagles

Enfield is 2-7 against East Catholic since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Enfield will look to defend their home court against East Catholic at 6:00 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Enfield challenged Minnechaug Regional on Wednesday. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

While Enfield had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 13-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Enfield's defeat came about despite a quality game from Anna Lor, who had 18 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, East Catholic made easy work of Bolton on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

East Catholic never let Bolton on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-10.

East Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Enfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Enfield came out on top in a nail-biter against East Catholic when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Does Enfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
