Minerva entered their tilt with Aquinas on Wednesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Minerva was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9, 25-12.

Ayla Shellenbarger paced Minerva's offense, picking up 14 kills. Shellenbarger got some help from Addy Kocher and her 28 assists. Shellenbarger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Minerva's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.

Minerva wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Carrollton on the 14th. Aquinas has also already played their next matchup (against McKinley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
