Soccer Recap: Collinsville Comes Up Short

Collinsville lost against Edwardsville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Kahoks fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Collinsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Edwardsville are ranked eighth).

Collinsville is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12-1. As for Edwardsville, they pushed their record up to 12-3-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Collinsville by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.
