Baseball Game Preview: Meadowdale Lions vs. Trotwood-Madison Rams

Meadowdale hasn't had much luck against Trotwood-Madison recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Meadowdale has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meadowdale fell victim to Mechanicsburg and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 19-0. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yellow Springs hit Trotwood-Madison with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams lost 16-6 to the Bulldogs. The Rams have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Michael White-Sloan was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Taylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meadowdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Trotwood-Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Meadowdale might still be hurting after the 16-9 defeat they got from Trotwood-Madison when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
