Basketball Recap: Towson Gets the Win

Towson lost to Loch Raven back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Towson Generals escaped with a win against the Loch Raven Raiders by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53.

Towson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Korey Collins, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds. Jeremiah Harris was another key player, putting up ten points along with six assists and four steals.

Towson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Towson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Loch Raven, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Towson and Mergenthaler Vo-Tech will round out the year against one another at at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Loch Raven, they will square off against McDonough at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.
