Volleyball Recap: Madison Triumphs

It was close, but on Wednesday the Madison Golden Knights sidestepped the Newtown Pioneers for a 2-1 victory.

Madison is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Newtown, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Madison will take on John Jay at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Golden Knights surely won't give up without a fight. Newtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
